About the Event
Join us for a discussion on creating your voice as a woman in the workplace.
Woman deserve a seat at the table and should be noted as valuable members of the team for many reasons.
Given the pandemic statistics are showing woman are being hit harder:
- Woman are spending an average of 15 hours more doing unpaid labor when working from home compared to their male counterparts (HBR article, 4 Ways Men Can Support Their Female Colleagues - Remotely, October 27, 2020)
- Woman are 24% more likely to permanently lose their job due to the pandemic (Catalyst - Woman in the Workforce - Global Quick Take, Feb 11, 2021)
- Woman are 1.8 times more vulnerable than men during the pandemic, meanwhile woman only make up 39% of the world market which means they account for 59% of the projected job loss (HBR article, Don’t Let the Pandemic Set Back Gender Equality, Sept 16, 2020)
During this Round Table the narrator, Kena Campbell, will present findings, ideas and suggestions. Once presented we will open up the floor to guest to share their ideas and stories.
The key take away from this event is to build confidence as a woman in the workplace, to understand how to deal with those difficult situations and learning a few more tips on how to get to understand co-workers.
This Round Table should make you feel stronger and ready to tackle the next meeting where you feel out numbered!
